but the thing is, the SST software and the joystick software are not communicating properly. i tried calling MadCatz (who now own Saitek) and they said that the issue is because the driver isn't signed by M$, and it will not cause a problem. If it keeps coming back with the error then please let me know what that is (double click it to see the error).I have an X-52 Pro, and the SST software drivers are having a code 52 issue in the device manager. Uninstall them, then right click any entry in Device Manager, choose Scan for Hardware Changes and see if it comes back correctly (should be under the Human Interface Devices section). If the X52 isn't present in Game Controllers then you need to check Device Manager and look for any entries that have the yellow exclamation mark next to them. Have a look in Steam>Settings>Controller>General Controller Settings and uncheck all the boxes. One note here is that there is an issue that sometimes occurs in Steam which causes controller issues.

Try reassigning controllers and also try other games to see if they're fine in there. If it is then click Properties to test it - if it it's working in there then it should be working in all games that support controllers. Something may have gone wrong during the driver install though so it's worth checking.įirst go to Game Controllers in Windows (joy.cpl from the run window) and see if the X52 is in there. Honestly, the driver is only there to allow the programming software to work with it, otherwise underneath it's still interfacing with DirectInput/HID in the same way as the generic driver in Windows.
